Despite the fact that you can get a very serious dinner here (burger, steak, oysters, etc.), Extra Fancy feels less like a restaurant and more like a neighborhood bar. It’s a spot to meet up with friends for some casual drinks and/or maybe talk to a stranger late at night. They also serve food until 2:30am., so if you’re hungry past midnight, stop by and eat a lobster roll at the bar. This is a great place to either start or end your night, and there’s also a nice yard for summertime drinking.

Lucali is a walk-in-only spot in Carroll Gardens that serves the best pizza in New York City.
La Isla Cuchifritos
We love La Isla Cuchifritos for the fact that a) it’s cheap and delicious, and b) it sort of feels like you’re grubbing in tropical Puerto Rico rather than not-so-tropical Brooklyn.

The Fulton in the South Street Seaport is where you should go to eat phenomenal seafood while looking out at the Brooklyn Bridge.
Saint Julivert Fisherie
Saint Julivert Fisherie is a Cobble Hill spot where you’ll eat seafood small plates and try unusual wines.
North River Lobster Co.
The food at North River Lobster Co. is regrettably mediocre. Then again, we never expected more from a floating restaurant in the middle of Midtown fart-tastic touristville.

Radegast Hall & Biergarten
If you're looking for a big spot for day drinking Williamsburg, try Radegast. It can get a little crowded, but maybe that's what you're looking for.
Lobster Joint is closest thing to a clam shack that you can find in Greenpoint, and it's absolutely perfect for summer day drinking.
