We’re honestly surprised it took this long for the NYC vegetarian empire to settle in Brooklyn. You know the drill: come here in your gym clothes for veggie market plates, salads that aren’t sad, or lemon pepper chicken sandwiches. While we have your attention, we’d like to remind you that it’s scientifically impossible to tell the difference between gym clothes and lazy clothes. Your secret is safe with us.

The newest location of the international Cecconi’s takeover is in Dumbo, and it’s best used for drinks and views on the patio.
Vinegar Hill House
One of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in the summer when their back garden is in full swing. Bring some bug spray, eat a pork chop.

Bar Stanley is a cocktail bar inside Neiman Marcus in Hudson Yards where you can drink a $19 Gibson a few feet from racks of designer jeans.
Salt & Fat
We wanted to love Sunnyside's Salt & Fat more than we actually did. Every dish on the menu reads like a carnivore’s delight, and while some items are incredible, others completely miss the mark.
With a couple of locations around the city, Luke’s Lobster is a casual spot to grab a good, simple lobster roll.
