After leaving the office, you deserve to find the perfect spot to take in the sun while sharing a round of discounted beers, wine, and small plates with friends during Happy Hour. When: Tuesday-Friday, 3-6pm

Since they have one of the bigger sidewalk setups on Passyunk Ave., you can do Happy Hour surrounded by more plants and margaritas than your summer trip to Cancun. There’s plenty of umbrellas and tables for big groups where you can enjoy wallet-friendly nachos, fried shrimp with smoked chipotle sauce, and chicken tinga tostada.

When: Monday-Friday, 4-6pm

The Deal: 50% Off All Bottles Of Sparkling Wine, $4-$7 Cocktails, And $6-$8 Small Plates

There’s only a few places in the city where you can take your entire accounting department for a sunny Happy Hour, and Barcelona Wine Bar’s large patio is one of them. Enjoy beef tartare with a mustard vinaigrette, a $4 sherry and brandy cocktail, and some more discounted snacks while you try to avoid any conversations about meetings and deadlines for a few hours.

This Center City spot has rows of cafe tables on the sidewalks and standing-room-only spaces that might make you feel like you're at a concert waiting for the stage lights to come on. sip on a $6 wine and $7 gin and grappa cocktail while biting into a gooey pepperoni pizza.

LMNO works for most meals, but it’s actually financially responsible to head to the Fishtown spot from 4-6pm. That’s when you can get a strawberry margarita, salty birria ramen, and pinto bean tacos with caramelized onions for the price of a trip to the movies. It’s one of the livelier spots in the neighborhood so come for the cheap tacos and stay for the blasting Dua Lipa.

One of the most crowded Center City bars is hidden down an alley. During Happy Hour, the colorful patio (that has a covering for rainy days) is full of people drinking watermelon rum scorpion bowls and splitting plates of kung pao chicken wings and crab rangoon. 

When: Sunday-Friday, 4:30-6:30pm, Saturday, 3-5pm

Known for their crowd-pleasing Asian-inspired dishes, Bing Bing Dim Sum has tasty cheesesteak baos, peppery chicken wontons, and crispy garlic and tofu dumplings all on their Happy Hour menu. Plus, they have lots of sidewalk seating where you can share sake with your friends and celebrate finding parking on Passyunk Ave.

The outdoor space at Harper’s Garden is the perfect place to sit in Center City, look out at a few flowers and nearby construction sites, and contemplate the fate of the world (or the Phillies). Their plant-covered deck is coveted, especially for Happy Hour when you can get fresh oysters, a double-stacked burger topped with Cooper Sharp, and a martini, all for a discounted price.

Happy Hour at Frankford Hall is an excellent way to sample some great German beers, bite into a Bavarian Cheesesteak, and beat your coworkers in Jenga. It’s one of the classic beer gardens in the neighborhood and city, so it’s always packed when the temperature turns towards t-shirt weather.

When: Tuesday-Thursday, 4-6pm

Juno in Spring Garden is that rare place with a large patio that manages to keep everything around $5. Head there for a margarita, carnitas tacos, and a chorizo empanada dripping with cilantro cream.

American Sardine Bar in Point Breeze changes its Happy Hour menu every day, but you can always count on the outdoor seats that line the sidewalk to be packed with locals. The menu always includes discounted things from their dinner menu, like the apple-walnut grilled cheese and Cholula honey wings.
