Google Maps will say that you’ve arrived at Rooftop Reds, but you’ll look around the Brooklyn Navy Yard and find nothing but warehouses and construction sites. Then you’ll walk up the stairs of Building #275 towards the back of the grounds and into a very fun wine bar that’s also one of the most unique rooftops in the city. The huge space is packed with people playing cornhole, laying on hammocks, and drinking at picnic tables with great views of Manhattan. Besides the wines that all come from their vineyard upstate, they also serve beer. There are food pop-ups alongside events like wine tastings and movie night, but for the most part, you can bring your own food. Just know that it’s reservation-only.

Gran Electrica serves simple, excellent Mexican food and creative cocktails. It also has a great back patio.
Vinegar Hill House
One of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in the summer when their back garden is in full swing. Bring some bug spray, eat a pork chop.
Celestine feels like a casual neighborhood restaurant, but this Mediterranean spot is on the water in Dumbo and has excellent views.

Bar Hugo is the good-looking rooftop bar/lounge at Hotel Hugo in Hudson Square, and it has a decent happy hour.
