The LA Burgers, Pasta, & Coffee That Make Tate McRae Feel Like A Regular

The "greedy" singer fills us in on the spots she heads to when she's home in LA.

In-demand pop stars like Tate McRae don’t often get much time off, swapping the creature comforts of home for a life on the road. For the Canadian singer, who moved to Los Angeles a couple years ago, the next few months are especially stacked: her second album THINK LATER is out soon, with a hit single “greedy” sitting high on the charts and another (“exes”) likely right behind it. Oh, and there’s her debut Saturday Night Live appearance to rehearse for too.

So with very little LA time on the 20-year-old’s calendar, whenever she finds herself home and in search of a meal, it’s all about heading to her regular spots. That translates to plenty of delivery from the city’s trendiest supermarket, lots of caffeine from a consistently reliable coffee shop, and Big Nights Out at West Hollywood’s number one scene. Read on for Tate’s most beloved Los Angeles restaurants at the moment, and catch her on the 2024 THINK LATER tour in cities worldwide.

“I love Laurel Canyon. So many creatives live in this little pocket of LA—I always feel so inspired there. Pace, tucked away right next to the Canyon Country Store, exudes the same warm and welcoming feelings as the rest of the Canyon. I love Pace for any type of night: I’ll bring my friends, I’ll bring my parents, I’ll eat so much pasta, and I’ll draw with the crayons they leave at every table. This restaurant has the best vibes.”

“Any time my family comes to town, we grab a meal at Jon & Vinny’s. There is a reason why Jon & Vinny are so well-regarded in LA, and it’s because they are genuinely the best. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Italian food, specifically pasta. The picnic tables in the back are so cute, too.”

“One of my favorite things to do with my friends in LA is to go on long drives & listen to music together. We’ll just drive down the PCH talking and talking, but then we get hungry, so we stop for some In-N-Out along the way. I’m from Canada, so In-N-Out was completely new to me when I moved to LA a couple years ago. It’s also the best after a long shoot day.”

“My friends and I love going to Delilah on a Friday or Saturday night. We dress up, blast music in the Uber on the ride over, and order the chicken tenders [with the house bbq and buttermilk ranch] every single time. Delilah is perfect for people-watching and good conversation, as well as listening to music and feeling like we’ve hit the town. I always look forward to running into people I haven’t seen in a while who are also gathered there.”

“I feel like I could Postmates Erewhon every single day of my life when I’m in LA and fully be happy. The coconut chicken tenders + broccolini + gluten free mac and cheese is my go-to order. I would love to have my own Erewhon smoothie one day. My team and I joke that we all feel immediately healthier just stepping foot into an Erewhon.”

“I’m currently on an iced almond milk latte with a shot of vanilla kick. If I am waking up early for a shoot or any other commitment, I will always have Alfred’s with me. They never let me down. I’ll probably order a second one later in the day, too.”
