Inis
Included In
After finishing a full Irish breakfast at Inis, we couldn’t bear the thought of missing out on lunch so stuck around. By the time we ordered Guinness cake, boxed up half a pork schnitzel sandwich, and joined a staff debate about cutlery, we knew it was time to pry ourselves away, but it was a struggle. The all-day, British-Irish spot has a pretty location, right by the towpath in Fish Island, near Hackney Wick. Big, picture windows frame the canal and on a summer’s day, taking your pint and house-glazed, thick-cut ham outside is the move. Mornings are busiest—green juices and iced lattes are delivered by staff who will happily get involved in a deep and meaningful about sausages, or just flash the kind of smile that would turn around a bad day.
