The food at Moe’s Cantina is about as mediocre-to-bad as you’d expect from a multi-level bar in River North (with a sister location in Wrigleyville) only open Thursday-Saturday nights. But you’re coming here for just-fine Happy Hour drinks, not amazing Mexican food. Although, after enough overly sour margaritas, you won’t mind taking advantage of the $4 taco special even if the chicken tinga tastes freezer-burned. There are TVs, big booths, lots of tables, and a massive bar—perfect to house all 100 members of your alumni club until the furniture is cleared away, the music changes from Top 40s hits circa 2005 to Reggaeton, and a much younger crowd takes over.
