Arlo’s Curbside
If you’ve ever found yourself wandering around just north of the UT Campus late at night looking for open food trailers, there’s a good chance you’ll end up at Arlo’s, an entirely vegan operation selling burgers, tacos, and chik’n sandwiches. These aren’t our favorite vegan burgers in town, but they’ll get the job done—particularly when it’s late and you just need sustenance. While other spots in Austin often use Impossible patties, Arlo’s makes its own from a mix of lentils, millet, carrots, mushrooms, onions, herbs, and spices. The “bac’n” on the Bac’n Cheez Burger has arrived a little too crispy on recent visits, but a generous amount of cheese, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce helps offset it enough to make for a pretty tasty meal either way.
