Sunny’s Backyard

Sunny’s in East Austin is more like a giant patio with an attached bar than the other way around, which makes it an especially great spot in the few months of the year that Austin is pleasant to be outside during. It’s also home to a trailer dishing out excellent vegan renditions of classic bar foods, like burgers, pretzel bites, “wings,” and hot dogs. We like to start with an order of fried banana pepper chips and fried chickpeas coated in Hot Cheeto dust, then make a meal out of the Hot Stuff Burger—an Impossible patty covered in grilled jalapeño, credo queso, and garlic aioli.
