Looking for a morning cafe to calm the work day blues? An on-the-go breakfast sandwich? A casual weeknight dinner? A drink and dessert night cap? Any Day Now, an all-day American spot in Navy Yard, is your answer to basically every dining situation.

The full-service coffee bar is the destination of choice for remote workers furiously tapping away at their laptops as baristas dish out buttery croissants and ube-vietnamese iced coffee. If your headphones won't be enough to keep you from checking out every drink being steamed and swirled behind the bar, the tweed couches and wooden tables are a great option for knocking out the day's to-dos.

Regardless of what’s happening in the restaurant, it’s the breakfast sandwiches that truly steal the show. Served between a set of crispy scallion pancakes, they come with soft-scrambled eggs and your choice of bacon, kimchi, or sausage (go with the kimchi). The satisfying crunch of the pancake, the savoriness of the cabbage, and the kick from the accompanying spicy chili oil make this sandwich, simply put, f*cking delicious.

Any Day Now switches to their “Any Night” menu after 5pm and the once-bustling cafe is now filled with Navy Yard locals more preoccupied with their food than chatting with their neighbors. And while nothing on this menu compares to their breakfast sandwich, dinner is good. It can even border on great if you get the fried cauliflower, served with raisins, capers, and toasted plantains. The sweet and savory blend, along with the crunch, transforms the humble cauliflower into a true star. Pair it with the ADN burger, a juicy beef patty is sandwiched between two crispy scallion pancakes. Because you can never go wrong with more scallion pancakes.

This is one of the few spots in town where you can easily—and happily—spend your whole day. Pack your laptop, chargers, and maybe even a pillow, and let Any Day Now do the rest.

Kimchi Scallion Breakfast Sandwich

Some ideas are so good, you have to wonder why they weren’t in your life sooner. Like boozy milkshakes, Ray J’s unbreakable glasses, and the kimchi scallion pancake breakfast sandwich at Any Day Now. The zesty kick from the kimchi, with the crunch from scallion pancakes and the tanginess of the garlic-chili oil, is sensational.

ADN Burger

You've got a classic beef patty sandwiched between two delectably crispy scallion pancakes along with crisp lettuce, pickles, and a special sauce, what more could you want? The burger is served alongside onion rings that are even better, fried to golden perfection.

Fried Cauliflower

Like Destiny’s Child at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, this dish knows how to harmonize. The fried cauliflower, the tender beef-based sofrito, and the sweet plantain chips bring together sweet and savory in all the best ways.

Cucumber Salad

We love gyros, so naturally we’d love deconstructed gyros, too. Cannellini beans, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, house feta, and sourdough croutons come together to convince us that some salads are really worth raving about.
