8 Miami Spots To Order From On Caviar For Date Night

There’s no need to stress out about a last-minute Valentine’s Day reservation. Just light a few candles, bring out the fancy plates you never get to use, and bring the fancy restaurant to your living room by ordering from one of these spots on Caviar.
Makoto is a very upscale Japanese restaurant in Bal Harbour, and normally just the sort of place you’d take a date to impress them with a small mountain of excellent sushi. They’ll still no doubt be impressed when you lay out a spread of spicy tuna crispy rice, grilled tiger prawns, and yellowtail maki in your living room. And at least they won’t have to worry about getting kicked out for not wearing shoes.
Joe’s is never a bad call for a special occasion meal involving martinis and seafood, especially now that you won’t have to wait at the bar for two hours to enjoy those things. You can have Joe’s delivered via Caviar. And if you really want to recreate the Joe’s waiting experience, put on something fancy and drink two martinis while you wait for the food to arrive.
If you like Neapolitan pizza, then you should add Brickell’s Stanzione 87 to your list of emergency contacts. Every pie here is delicious, from the simple margherita to the oddly refreshing lemon and burrata white pizza. There are also some wood-fired sandwiches worth ordering if you’re in the mood, plus a small but quality selection of natural wines to choose from.
Harry’s Pizzeria in the Design District has been running a delivery-only pop-up called Seoul Chicken for the last few months. Like the name implies, they do mostly chicken here, offering half and whole roasted birds that will taste so much better than the recipe you’re Googling 15 minutes before your date arrives. There’s also an outstanding kimchi crispy chicken sandwich that’s easily one of the best fried chicken sandwiches in town.
Boia De was not always a place we associated with delivery, but we are absolutely not complaining. The Italian spot in Buena Vista is one of Miami’s best restaurants, but during the pandemic they’ve also expanded their to-go menu with some delicious, delivery-friendly things, like a fantastic fried chicken sandwich topped with a scoop of avocado (and some other great stuff). There’s also a muffuletta and “The Godmother,” an Italian sub with mortadella, soppressata, and coppa.
If there is a bad thing on KYU’s menu, we’ve yet to find it. The Wynwood restaurant is so good that you can really just toss your phone to your cat and have her randomly tap the screen. A half hour later, something great is going to arrive at your door - like Korean fried chicken, beef short ribs, or a whole roasted cauliflower you’ll want to put inside one of those display cases for autographed basketballs.
If you want to keep your at-home Valentine’s Day meal healthy-ish, so the night doesn’t end with elastic pants and a deep regret of eating so many french fries, then try Thatch. The Midtown restaurant has an entirely plant-based menu and dishes like crispy cauliflower with a house gochujang, avocado pizza, and more bowls, sandwiches, and salads. You can eat all of the above over a glass of natural wine, which they also have here.
We know, Jaxson’s isn’t actually in Miami (it’s in Dania Beach), but this legendary ice cream parlor has been open since 1956 and is still a South Florida institution. Also, it’s most likely the setting of at least one birthday party where you accidentally ate so much ice cream that you got sick - which is a great story to tell whoever you’re spending Valentine’s Day with this year. So, we figured that you might like to know that they deliver now.
