The Yard Cafe is a bar with three different seating situations, making it a very versatile spot for beer-drinking and Mexican food eating. There’s a yard full of picnic tables, a bar with indoor seats, and a big back room with booths. No matter where you decide to sit, it’s great for a first date or group hang over something interesting on tap and some tacos or tortas.
The Pine Box is a bar in an old mortuary, and it’s great. Come for a casual weeknight dinner or drink.
If you’re looking for Mexican food and a fun environment, Barrio in Capitol Hill is a great choice.
There’s a lot of good Mexican in Seattle, but Mezcaleria Oaxaca in Capitol Hill also has an excellent rooftop.
Copal is a Mexican spot in Pioneer Square that put a lot of effort into making a great space. The food needs a bit more of that effort.
