The D&E in Pioneer Square D&E stands for “drinks and eats.” And this is an ideal spot for when you’re in the neighborhood and killing time before a Mariners game. Anything from pasta to tamales is fair game, but you’d be wise to order anything involving fried chicken - especially the fried chicken sandwich that comes with steak fries and a can of Rainier. Get that, and go Mariners.
Manu’s Bodega is an excellent fast-casual Cuban/Caribbean/Dominican spot in Pioneer Square.
Dead Line is a Pioneer Square bar with good South American small plates and quality cocktails.
Is getting in line for pasta at 10:30am on a weekday crazy? Maybe. But this is what you have to do at Il Corvo in Pioneer Square, and it’s worth it.
Slice Box is a pizzeria in SoDo that serves great New York-style pies. Get the Sicilian pepperoni.
