While we’ve been able to get some great to-go cocktails from places during quarantine, Canon, Seattle’s best cocktail bar, has remained closed. Until today.
On Tuesday, July 7th, they reopened and rebranded as a Take-Out Emporium and Mercantile. You’ll find a selection of rotating bottled cocktails like a Negroni Frizzante, large-format drinks, and food like roasted peaches, a burger, fried chicken, dessert, and even ice. Yes, that’s right. You can buy eight-pound bags of it either crushed or cubed ($5 each) so you won’t have your expert cocktail ruined by some cloudy ice when you get back to your apartment (PS if you actually want to learn how to make perfect ice at home, we got you).
A couple of things you should know about Canon’s takeout operation - right now it’s preorder only, to purchase any alcohol you must also buy an entree, and if you return with your cocktail bottles rinsed and in good shape, you’ll get a $1 credit per bottle to your next order. And, hey, that’s equivalent to 20% of a bag of ice.
For all of the details on Canon’s return, and to preorder, visit their website.
