Quik Dog does the food at Trick Dog in the Mission, and they nail every element of a great hot dog. Slightly toasted bun? Check. Juicy meat that makes you nostalgic for a poolside cookout? You got it. Excellent toppings like bacon, sautéed onion, and jalapeño spread are also on deck. While ordering the vegetarian, beef, or burger-like hot dog is why you’re here (order one at the bar until 10pm), don’t pass on the chicken nuggets: little crispy pieces of thigh meat that are even better when dunked in the housemade sweet honey mustard.
