Nuevo Sol

On those mornings when we roll out of bed hungry but still half-asleep, or when Cheerios just won’t cut it, Nuevo Sol is exactly where we want to be. The family-run spot in Northwest Berkeley is casual and non-pretentious, and churns out hearty diner classics and Mexican dishes, like pancakes, chorizo scrambles with beans and tortillas, and garlicky corned beef hash. Every dish always keeps us full well into the afternoon, and we have yet to leave disappointed.
