Kuma Sushi + Sake
Kuma Sushi + Sake is a casual Japanese spot in Lower Nob Hill serving excellent sushi—and the bill won’t ruin your week, either. Rolls hover around $18 apiece, topped with generous helpings of tuna or unagi and shaved almonds. And if it’s on the menu, start things off with the locally made tofu dressed up with a heap of crunchy garlic oil. On any given night, the gray-toned space with wood accents is filled with four-person friend groups or first dates asking “So, watching anything good right now?”, but you can always walk in and slide up to a bar seat for last-minute nights out.
