Hotbird, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich spot, used to be a staple at Oakland First Fridays and Off the Grid at the Presidio. Now they have a temporary space in the Twitter building food hall while their brick-and-mortar restaurant is under construction. Their sandwich is a master class in how to do one thing great. Like, Jordan Peele great. Sandwiches come with five heat levels, which have a fiery kick but not in a, "Help, please send milk" sort of way, as well as dill pickles, a tangy aioli, and a light, buttery bun.
