This strip mall storefront is easy to drive past, but it’s home to one of our favorite places to eat in Raleigh—especially since most things at this casual Puerto Rican restaurant cost around $12. Some dishes blend cultures, like the pork-u-pineapple empanada with slow-roasted North Carolina-style barbecue pork that's worth a visit on its own. Drop in and snag a bunch of empanadas for a quick lunch with your kids, or feed the whole family after a hike at nearby Falls Lake with some mofongo, ropa vieja, or the Cuban on buttered sobao bread.
