Despite sounding like the name of a preschool for gifted youth, Sugar Sweet Sunshine is a bakery directly next to the soulless factory of designer croissants commonly known as Supermoon Bakehouse. Sugar Sweet Sunshine is the exact opposite of Supermoon. It has a wall full of loyal customers’ dogs, delightfully sh*tty coffee, and some of the absolute best puddings, pies, and $3 cupcakes in the city. Even if you would normally never order a to-go cup full of banana pudding with Nilla wafers and whipped cream, that’s exactly what you should do at Sugar Sweet Sunshine. Next time you need to apologize to a friend for saying something too honest at dinner, come here.
