Lillo
Walk past Lillo on a quiet block in Cobble Hill and you’ll probably assume the tiny space is just another neighborhood coffee shop. Walk inside and you’ll feel the same way, especially after seeing the espresso machine behind the counter and the case of pastries next to the register. But one look at the menu and you’ll realize this place has a lot more going on than meets the eye. This cash-only, 15-seat restaurant serves a full menu of classic Italian dishes, ranging from small plates like prosciutto and melon to entrees like linguini with clams and eggplant parmigiana. We’ve enjoyed most of the things we’ve had, especially the very rich and sauce-heavy cacio e pepe. If you’re in Cobble Hill and want a panini or some pasta, but don’t want to commit to a sit-down meal, check this place out for lunch, dinner, or takeout.
