Ghenet is an Ethiopian restaurant on the Park Slope/Gowanus border. The open space has big windows, a straw-like ceiling, and some low two-tops with yellow booth seating. Most of the dishes are shareable, and you could use Ghenet for date night, especially if you want some vegan options.

Black Mountain Wine House is a very cozy wine bar (with a fireplace) in Gowanus. Bonus points: it both looks and feels very much like a cabin.
