Not all touristy restaurants are terrible.
The unicorns at The Cloisters and the water lilies at the Musée de l’Orangerie are impressive, but they don’t hold a candle to the hot soppressata at Calabria Pork Store. Sausages cover the entire ceiling of this Arthur Avenue meat shop in the Bronx, and while it looks like an exhibition, you’re allowed to touch (and eat) the art here.
