When you’re near the Brooklyn Bridge and you need an almond croissant, check out Almondine. It’s a little French Bakery with pastries, fresh bread, a few kinds of sandwiches, and some of the largest merengues we’ve seen. You can eat at one of their little tables, or take your food to a nearby park.

Vinegar Hill House
One of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in the summer when their back garden is in full swing. Bring some bug spray, eat a pork chop.
Gran Electrica serves simple, excellent Mexican food and creative cocktails. It also has a great back patio.

A restaurant that only serves bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. No, this is not a joke. BEC is real, and it's here to cure your hangover.
Earl’s Beer & Cheese
Earl’s menu of pig and cheese heavy snacks pairs perfectly with the small but righteous selection of draft beers that they have on tap. Head up north sometime to check it out, and also visit Earl’s sister restaurant around the corner, ABV.
A little Italian cafe and sandwich shop on the Upper East Side near Central Park. We love the sandwiches, but hate how much they cost.
