Try Deluxe Takeout From Mister Jiu's in SF
Starting this weekend, the chefs from Mister Jiu’s in SF and The Four Horsemen in Williamsburg are collaborating on an at-home, banquet-style Chinese dinner for two. Each meal comes with a curated Spotify playlist and videos of the chefs explaining the different courses. The special is only available for takeout and delivery until November 21st, and you can book your dinner through Resy here.
Order Late-Night Delivery Instead of Staying Out Late
In response to a surge of Covid cases across the state and city, Governor Cuomo instituted a new 10pm curfew policy for restaurants and bars with liquor licenses. Don’t worry, if you find yourself hypothetically stoned and in-need of late-night jerk chicken or pancakes, know that restaurants can still run takeout and delivery past 10pm.
Bike Your Way Through the Best Senegalese Restaurants in Harlem
The sun is (supposed to be) around this weekend, and Harlem just got a slew of Citi Bikes installed. Use our guide to the best restaurants in the area to plan your bike route and then do wheelies around the northern part of Central Park afterwards. Obviously, kidding. It’s impossible to do a wheelie on those tanks.

Go to an Outdoor Comedy Show in Astoria
This Sunday, Haunted Astoria Comedy Club is throwing an outdoor stand-up show at an undisclosed location in the neighborhood. Masks are required at all times, and they have heat lamps so you won’t be thinking about your body temperature while someone who worked on a Comedy Central show tries to hold your attention. It’s completely free, and the hosts will email you the event location once you reserve tickets here. Before the show, check out an outdoor restaurant for dinner.
Sit Down and Have a Hard Think About Turkey & Pie
Thanksgiving is shockingly soon, considering we just wrote “August” at the top of this guide by accident. Yes, the holiday may be slightly more depressing than normal this year (Grandma, we’ll miss you), but you can still rely on food to make it better. Whether you’re looking to eat out at a restaurant, have an at-home turkey feast, or just order some wine to bring to your social pod’s meal, use this guide to plan your holiday.
Just looking for pie? Us too. In case you don’t have the time or will to bake butter pastry crust in your apartment, pre-order something fantastic from one of these NYC bakeries.

Listen to Carribean DJs While You Eat Roti
The Bun Hut is one of our favorite new restaurants right now, which is just one reason you should try their Caribbean-inspired bao and roti. Another is that they know how to (safely) party. Stop by their LES spot from 5pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday night for Bahmanian-American and Guyanese-American DJs and Happy Hour specials.

Eat Oysters on a Boat (For the Last Time in 2020, Probably)
After extending their season, Grand Banks is finally closing after this weekend. If you’ve never been here before, it’s a boat in Hudson River Park that’s full of oysters and those who enjoy oysters. If the weather holds up, have one last hurrah on the water.
