14 New Delivery-Only Restaurants Born Out Of The Pandemic
There’s a new restaurant meal subscription service called Summerlong Supper Club that gets you 16 weeks of three-course tasting menus delivered to your home. It costs $65 per week, and each restaurant gets to keep 100% of the profits (which doesn’t happen with other delivery models). Some of our favorite restaurants in the city are participating, like La Vara, Atoboy, Llama Inn, and Contra, and the whole program was created in partnership with ROAR. The last day to sign-up for Summerlong Supper Club is January 17th.
If you’ve been spending any amount of time thinking about all the sushi you used to eat in restaurants, know that Nami Nori in the West Village now has temaki party kits available for pick-up (or delivery in lower Manhattan). Each one starts at $100 and comes with enough fish, nori, rice, and sushi accessories to build rolls for a four-person dinner.
Houseman in West Soho is offering weekly meal kits that feed two or four people, including a celebratory Biden/Harris inauguration menu for January 21st, a Valentine’s date night dinner package, and BBQ for Superbowl Sunday. They’re available for pickup at the restaurant or in North Fork, Long Island. Check out this week’s menu here.
With indoor service closed, some restaurants are experimenting with delivery-only models. Check out this new guide for places shipping frozen dumplings, pastries, and full tasting menus all over the NYC area.
