Uovo is a new pasta bar in downtown Santa Monica opened by the Sugarfish people. But despite tons of hype around this place, the food is pretty mediocre. None of the pasta is bad, but nothing is memorable either. The small and very modern space is cool though, so if you’re roaming around Santa Monica by yourself and looking for a place to eat that’s not a chain (yet), Uovo is a solid move.
