Uncle Stevey's Bagels
Included In
There’s nothing too cool or overly fussy about Uncle Stevey’s. It's a straightforward bagel shop in El Segundo run by two former New Yorkers who bake everything in a fancy oven. The problem is they're still working out some kinks. One bagel in a batch might be fresh and chewy. Another might be too hard. And it’s a small complaint, but the surface of their everything bagel is so blasted with seasoning, that you’re showered with spices every time you take a bite. If you live within walking distance of this place, it’ll do. You’ll find the expected bagel shop classics here like smoked fish, egg and cheese sandwiches, and a bunch of cream cheese varieties. But if you’re willing to roam, there are better bagel options out there.
