The Rustic Spoon

Toluca Lake is best known as that place where thousands of adults walk around on their lunch hour wondering if they’ll ever make the leap out of the corporate studio world. But it’s also home to something else - The Rustic Spoon. This tiny Thai restaurant on Lankershim doesn’t make the best Thai food in LA - or even the Valley - but it’s a great option when you’re in the area, short on time, and need a warm, rich bowl of curry to make you feel better about your week. The massaman curry with cinnamon-braised chicken is a standout and the perfectly flaky roti is perfect for dipping.
