Knock-out pastries, hot cross buns made with a vanilla bean sourdough brioche, an astrology-themed name, and some of the coolest graphics in town? Believe it or not, you’ll find all of that at Silver Lake's Gemini Bakehouse. Run by husband-and-wife duo, Conor and Hannah Smith, Gemini Bakehouse sells crusty olive loaves, bagels by the dozen, focaccia studded with rosemary, and crumbly apple pies, at a tiny shop in Silver Lake. They’re only open Friday-Sunday from 9am to 2pm, and they’ll usually have a limited number of weekly specials like strawberry shortcake ice cream doughnuts.
