People-watching is a draw at most Palm Springs spots, but at Alice B, it’s on a different level. That’s because this fairly solid American restaurant from chefs behind Border Grill is located on the ground floor of a luxury retirement complex geared toward the LGBTQ+ community. You won’t find a typical PS crowd of tourists and bachelorette parties here. Instead, you’ll dine next to groups who’ve been friends since the 1970s, who live upstairs, and walk down nightly for cheddar biscuits, chicken cutlets, and several rounds of martinis. It’s a special scene, just don’t expect to be blown away by the food.
