The wish list for any neighbourhood includes a decent pub, and a more than decent Indian, Chinese, Turkish or Italian restaurant right on your doorstep. Camberwell has the pubs part thoroughly covered, and wins on the Italian front when it comes to Neapolitan pizza spot Theo’s. In 90s speak, it’s the bomb. Their massive pizza oven bangs out some of the best pizza in the whole of London faster than a runaway bus screaming down Denmark Hill, and you can actually taste the quality of the ingredients. They even use mozzarella that, for once, tastes of mozzarella. It’s great for a casual dinner with mates or a chilled out date. And if you live locally it’s that Friday night delivery pizza as you watch Die Hard / Legally Blond for the 100th time.
