With a high potential of spotting famous TV personalities—or at least someone with a slight resemblance who you’ll excitedly stare at for the entire evening—and a menu with at least four black truffle dishes, Signor Sassi is a scene. Although the energy is part of what makes this place fun, the food is really great too. Our favourite time to visit this big-name Italian institution in Knightsbridge is mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Long lunches involve incredibly creamy ravioli and the celebratory sound of glasses clinking at any given time. Tiramisu is non-negotiable and you should always make sure to scour the walls for photographs of famous faces while you wait for your crab tagliolini.
