Frank’s is an old-school caff where the tea is ridiculously strong and you can get a massive plate of pie and mash and lashings of gravy for less than a tenner. They have massive breakfasts and you can also grab a proper bacon and egg roll to take away. It’s a no-nonsense place that probably won’t make any healthy eating lists any time soon, but will put some meat on your bones and a grin on your face.

Macellaio RC Union Street
Macellaio serves incredible Italian-style steaks from Piedmont, and nice pastas, too. It’s definitely worth it for a splurge.
The White Hart
The White Hart is where you go in Southwark for very cold beers, and not much else. Hit it up for an after-work drink.
Where The Pancakes Are
A casual all day restaurant in Southwark dedicated entirely to pancakes, this place should be one of your go-to brunch spots.
