Oxford Circus can often feel like a hard place to find somewhere good to eat. But Faros, a chic-looking Italian spot on Great Portland Street, is a feel-good place where the pasta is satisfying and ideal for post-shopping fuel. And you’ll almost certainly be able to get a last-minute table. During the day it’s a bright, inviting space and come evening, the dining room turns moody and quietly buzzy, with lighting that makes everyone five times more attractive. There’s a good selection so bring a group when someone wants a stand-up margherita and someone else wants to go fancy with the truffle ravioli.
