Chakra
Chakra is an Indian spot in Kensington that, while certainly won’t offend, probably won't excite. The menu is what you’d expect from a crowd-pleasing Indian spot that’s survived on locals and people who tried to get into Dishoom down the road but couldn’t. Samosa chaat and spicy paneer starters are a solid way to start a meal. And the purani Delhi butter chicken is perfectly nice, but lacks that memorable quality. Servers are friendly and the energy is generally dialled down and low-key, making it ideal for a post-work dinner when you’re not in the mood to interact with too many people. It’s a safe option where no one will go home completely dissatisfied.
