In case you haven’t noticed, it’s something of a nightmare to get a table anywhere at the moment. With that in mind, we’ve done a quick scout to see what tables are available right now, for this week. It’s by no means thorough and you’ll more than likely have to move faster than you have been doing, but it is, as the lazy saying goes, better than nothing.

For the Monday Night Gang:

If you’re not quite willing to let go of the weekend yet then Mr. Bao in Peckham have got some late tables (9pm onwards) or, you can nab a spot at swish Mayfair sushi spot Sake No Hana from 5pm this afternoon. For a little more flex check out Pique-Nique in Bermondsey or Smokestak in Shoreditch - both have a few different times for this evening.

For the Midweek Daters:

First thing’s first: you want some walk-in options. So it’s good to know that The Bank Of Friendship in Highbury, The Hope & Anchor in Brixton, and Soho classic The Coach & Horses are all pubs not taking bookings. If you fancy food, head to Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle or book a table at Lady Of The Grapes in Covent Garden.

For Big Weekend Reunions:

If, like us, you found yourself ruing your lack of table booking last Friday night then let us tell you that both Albertine wine bar in White City and Newcomer Wines in Dalston and have spots for 6 people going. Outside of that, all we can do is gently prod you in the direction of our Walk-In Restaurants With Outdoor Seating guide.

For All the Brunchers:

It’s good to know that Juliets, one of London’s best brunch spots, is walk-in only for it’s roomy courtyard. But if you’re looking for some guaranteed bookings, then Brunswick East looks to have a couple of times for two available, Paddington Aussie spot Beany Green has times for 4 people on Saturday and Sunday, or The Table Cafe has a load of time spots as well.

For a Good Old Fashioned Roast:

Seeing as pub bookings are more valuable than a Jeff Koons NFT blessed by Brad Pitt, you might want to consider some more off-key options. Kerridge’s pop-up at the Corinthia has some space going as does 14 Hills in The City. That said, The Gun in Hackney has just opened for reservations on their terrace. So get in quick...
