When Patty Met Pilgrims
Neapolitan pizza specialists, Pizza Pilgrims, have teamed up with burger experts Patty and Bun to make what they’re calling ’The Patty Pilgrims ‘Burgizza’ Meatball Sub’ meal kit. It’s a combination of the Nduja pizza kit and the Ari Gold burger kit, that makes two huge meatball sandwiches. Order it via their website.
A Cheese Truck Has Parked Up in Paddington
The same people behind The Cheese Bar and Pick and Cheese will be parking up a pop-up truck in Paddington where customers can get grilled cheese sandwiches and natural wines until May 16th. There will also be a canal-side terrace to sit and eat all of the cheese.
A KFC Chain Has Opened in the UK
Pelicana, a Korean fried chicken fast-food chain, had opened in Hammersmith Broadway shopping centre. The KFC specialist will be going London-wide with locations opening in Angel, Wimbledon, and Clapham Junction.
Dining Outside, Drive-Thrus & Divine Intervention
Halfway through reopening week and a small reminder that these 200+ restaurants are taking reservations for their outside spaces. The Standard Hotel: London's Newest Rooftop Dining Spot
Although we’re still processing the fact that high-end, feelgood Mexican spot Decimo can’t reopen until May 17th, there is also some good news from The Standard Hotel. They’re turning their 11th floor rooftop - hello 10/10 views - into a bar, complete with a New York-style hotdog cart. Coming May 1st.

The Legal Fight for Indoor Dining Continues
An expedited High Court case could see restaurants across the UK open for indoor dining before May 17th. The case was brought forward by Greater Manchester’s Night Time Economy Adviser, Sacha Lord - who was responsible for the end of ‘substantial meal’ rules in pubs - arguing that indoor dining poses the same threat level as non-essential shops. He’s called for ‘data not dates’ and ‘fact not fiction’.

New restaurant Nebula has opened on Hackney Road. They have a huge courtyard, craft pizza, curated cocktails, and say they do ‘negronis to die for’. A claim we’re very happy to investigate ASAP.

Dalston has got itself a brand new al fresco wine bar. Slurp Yard is walk-in only, with their full indoor restaurant coming May 17th. All profits go to the Bootstrap Charity, a workspace that aims to provide support for entrepreneurs and free training to locals.
