While we know TJ Birria Y Mas in The Heights serves birria, the “mas” seems to be, well, more birria. The counter service spot tosses birria de res into every tortilla configuration imaginable: tacos, quesadillas, machetes, and beyond, all served with a side of consomé. Try it sprinkled over mashed potatoes, stirred into spicy ramen, smothered in cheese, wedged in a torta, or stuffed into a burrito. That’s some real birria innovation. While most folks are grabbing food to go, there’s a small dining room for you to fly solo or share a birria platter with a small group of friends. We also recommend not skimping on the napkins.
