It’s a place where you’ll come for the cold beer and end up posting up for hours - which is when their surprisingly good food will come in handy. Get the barbecue plate or the burger, and always a side of fries.
Bullion in Downtown should be your go to spot for celebrations, with its beautiful space, classic cocktails, and mostly-French menu.
Lockhart Smokehouse in Oak Cliff is the perfect post-work hangout for a beer and spice-forward brisket.
Louie’s is a bar on Henderson with a long menu of burgers, pizzas, and pastas, which help to counteract the multiple martinis you’ll order.
Deep Ellum’s Angry Dog is a dark dive bar with plenty of TVs and bar food, like poutine, fried pickles, and a burger.
