True Food Kitchen is a great spot in River North to grab something healthy during the week, especially after working out at one of the many boutique studios nearby. Seriously, we have to hand it to their real estate agent since about 71% of people who frequent gyms within a few block radius of this place are jonesing for something healthy nearby after the spin class they just took. And not only is the healthy food at True Food Kitchen is pretty good, but the space is massive so there’s usually not a problem getting a seat. It’ll give you exactly what you’re looking for, and you can even get a glass of wine if it’s been that kind of a day.

Gibsons Italia, in River West, is the trendy Italian sister spot to Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse.
Shaw’s Crab House
Shaw’s is like the seafood version of a steakhouse. Come for a nicer dinner and order all the oyster, crab, and lobster.
Shake Shack's burgers live up to the hype, but the food love stops there. Local partnerships at least help give the first Chicago location some street cred.
