Alinea Reopens This Week
After pivoting to takeout and delivery last spring, then popping up in the West Loop as a rooftop restaurant, then temporarily closing altogether over the winter, Alinea is reopening for indoor dining on March 17th. Nipsey’s Restaurant Is Offering Employees $150 to Get Vaccinated
While restaurant workers won’t be eligible for vaccines until the end of this month, all residents of some Chicago zip codes qualify. And Burnside bar and restaurant Nipsey’s is paying their workers $150 if they get the Covid-19 vaccine, as first reported by Block Club Chicago. The hope is that not only will this help keep employees safe, but will also reduce anxiety around the vaccine.
Chicago Restaurant Week Is Expanding to Help Hotels
Chicago Restaurant Week is now offering a program called “Lunch is on Us” to help the city’s struggling hotel industry. Participating hotels are offering packages that include Restaurant Week dining credits when you book an overnight stay.
