Trattoria di Monica is close to the perfect little neighborhood Italian restaurant - it’s just that the neighborhood it’s in happens to have a greater concentration of good Italian restaurants than anywhere else west of Milan. You can get a decent meal here anytime, but it’s particularly great for a late weeknight dinner, when it’s just you, a few other guests, and a bottle of red.
