Thunder Road is a bar and live music venue in Union Square that successfully nails the feels like a party in your basement thing, because the venue in this case really is no bigger than a basement. The cover is rarely more than $10, and if there’s no show, it’s still worth coming for the lounge area downstairs, which has a pool table.
