Mehak is the only Indian/Pakistani restaurant in East Boston, and the expected samosas, biryanis, and tandoori dishes are all on the menu. However, these all tend to either be too bland or too spicy, and they’re all pretty unmemorable. But the more unique dishes, like kabuli pulao (rice with carrots, raisin and lamb) and haleem (lentil and meat mash in the consistency of creamy peanut butter), are delicious. If you don’t like creamy peanut butter, you’re out of luck.
