Bars and restaurants in Boston are closed for dine-in service, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit in a corner and eat tomatoes out of a can. We made this delivery and takeout directory for specific situations - so when you need something affordable, or just found out that Brady is leaving, you’ll know exactly where to place your next order.

When You're Tired of Pop-Tarts For Breakfast
On a normal day, the breakfast sandwiches from Mike & Patty’s are already pretty great. Since none of our days are that normal anymore, we’ve upgraded the rating on these sandwiches to “masterpiece while consumed in bed.” Place an order for takeout or delivery on their website.
Milkweed
Milkweed claims to have “a menu fit for a monarch.” We only know of a few monarchs in the world, and we’re pretty sure they’re not in Milkweed’s delivery range. Nevertheless, you can order Lucky Charms pancakes or salmon cakes for breakfast - whether or not you call yourself a king or queen.
South End Buttery
A buttermilk biscuit has 75% of the same ingredients as a Pop-Tart - but the caprese biscuits from South End Buttery taste 100% better. Place an order on the cafe’s website.

In general, East Cambridge doesn’t get much attention - but its residents probably prefer to keep Curio Coffee to themselves anyway. This excellent coffee shop is still doing curbside takeout for coffee and homemade waffles. All orders must be placed online.

Australian meat pies and sausage rolls from Cuppa, which have amazingly flaky shells, are probably the best savory breakfast items for those who dislike eggs. Pick some up from this South End coffee shop.
Tatte Bakery & Cafe
Surprise, surprise - Tatte has been deemed an essential business and all branches are open for pickup and delivery orders. Shed some joyful tears as you place your order online.

When you want to have a Big night in
Mooo....
Mooo.... and its partner restaurants (Bar Lyon, Mistral, Sorellina, Ostra, and Teatro) have a menu of “Classics” that can be delivered through a “butler service.” It sounds like a marketing gimmick, but we’re really fine with anything that can bring grilled branzino and parmigiano truffle fries to our door.
If you’re craving white asparagus and caviar (who are we to judge?), then Bondir is here for you. You’ll have to reserve your order ahead of time on their website, and if you’ve already come this far, you might as well order some of their excellent bread too.
There are a lot of Italian restaurants doing takeout pasta right now, and Fox & The Knife is no different - except you can also order fresh pasta and sauce to cook at home. If you decide you also need ten orders of that great cheesy focaccia, then we applaud your decision-making instincts.
There’s a seemingly endless list of Italian restaurants doing to-go pasta, but almost none of them can offer anything as good as the bolognese from La Morra. Don’t forget to also add some of the fried anchovies wrapped in sage leaves to your order - they’ll go well with anything you’re drinking at home right now.
You could order regular fried rice for your big night in, or you could order duck fried rice with mango salsa and a crispy duck egg. Sometimes Asian fusion restaurants are not great, but Blue Dragon manages to strike a good balance between flavor and innovation.
Summer Shack Cambridge
The quintessential New England “big night in” has to include lobsters, so order pan-roasted ones with bourbon and chives. While you’re at it, throw in some fried chicken as well, and start yelling “BAWSTON” to your neighbor across the street.
When You just found out tom brady is leaving
Kane's Donuts
Down in Tampa, Brady won’t be able to order a dozen donuts from Kane’s. That fact, paired with an Apple Fritter donut, should make you feel pretty great. The Downtown location is open from 7am-2:30pm daily, and delivery is also available through a few platforms.

If there’s better comfort food than a hot bowl of ramen, we’re not sure what it would be. Ganko Ittetsu has almost every type available, from miso to shoyu to shio. The well-balanced broths and perfectly-cooked noodles make a great pair - though it seems pairs are what Belichick hates the most.
Stop into Night Shift’s taproom to pick up some much-needed beverages, or you can have some delivered right to you on Drizly. Once you crack open a can at home, you can start cursing Hulu for giving you such false hope during the Super Bowl.
And let’s be honest, you probably need a lot more than just a 12-pack. Check out our alcohol delivery guide for more options.
