You’ll find the new trailer Taco Bronco in the shady backyard of Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches on the East Side. It’s from the team behind Micklethwait Craft Meats, one of the best barbecue spots in town, and it’s what happens when you merge a taqueria with Texas barbecue. The corn and flour tortillas are homemade, and taco options include brisket with cactus and queso, spicy south Texas boar sausage, crispy carnitas, and barbacoa. There are also tortas and huge share platters that include pork ribs and pollo asado. Get the Tres Hombres platter that comes with three tacos plus rice, beans, tortilla chips, and queso - it’s the best value here. A recent special was smoked lamb birria tacos (on corn) that came with a dipping consomme. Batch’s brewhouse is also up-and-running, and their own beers include a smoked prickly pear Gose and a key lime Gose.
