New Fortune Chinese Seafood Restaurant

New Fortune is a popular banquet-sized restaurant in Austin’s Chinatown Center - be prepared to wait for a table most weekends. They’ve got a super broad menu, including seafood like their salt and pepper double lobster for two, whole Peking duck, and Cantonese dishes. What they’re perhaps most well known for, however, is their dim sum, served via carts during weekend lunch/brunch. They’ve got probably one of the largest dim sum menus in town - our favorites are the soup dumplings, pan-fried turnip cake, and the crispy shrimp toast. You can order dim sum a la carte during dinner, and you can also get it to go.
