Falafel Burger
Included In
Built in the shell of what was almost definitely a Sonic Drive-In at one point, Falafel Burger is a Mediterranean restaurant in Cedar Park serving some of the best falafel in town. But instead of finding it on a bed of rice or greens, here you’ll find it in wraps, tacos, and burgers.

Contrary to the name, you’ll find more than just falafel here. Chickpeas, kofta kabobs, and chicken breast all share a playing field here. But you’re here for some of the best falafel in the Austin area. Crispy, with a soft and savory center, they play surprisingly well with classic burger toppings and a dollop of tahini sauce. Add cheese if you’re not sticking to a vegan diet—it adds just a little oomph to it all—but either way, accompany it with a side of za’atar fries, served piping hot.

There’s no dining room here, so plan to eat on the outdoor patio, or in the front seat of your car in one of the not-Sonic drive-in booths. Then pick up an order of pistachio or walnut baklava for later, and see if you can make it home before you finish the whole thing.
