Chi’Lantro has been consistently putting out their Korean-Mexican fusion food for over 10 years now, and what really sets themselves apart are their kimchi fries. They come covered in two types of cheese, caramelized kimchi, onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, sriracha, “magic sauce,” and a choice of Korean barbecue-inspired protein (we like it with ribeye). And if all of that sounds like something you’d rather shove your face into than your hands, you can even get the whole thing wrapped inside of a burrito.
Chi’Lantro is probably best-known for their kimchi fries that kicked them to stardom when they first opened their food truck back in 2010. Now, they’ve got multiple locations across the city, so you’re never too far from their Korean-Mexican fusion food. That includes their Korean fried chicken wings that are double-fried for a little extra crispiness, then doused in a sweet-and-spicy “Gangnam sauce” and topped with sesame seeds. They’ve only got one flavor, but when it hits all the right notes, why bother with more?
While Chi’Lantro is probably known best for their popular kimchi fries (you can also turn that into a kimchi fry burrito), they also have “Korean BBQ Inspired” wings, rice bowls, noodle bowls, tacos, and burgers. Nothing on the menu will run you over $10, and they have a total of seven locations across town for takeout and delivery, though their two downtown locations are currently closed.
You can still get your kimchi fry fix from Chi’Lantro in addition to the full menu, all of which is available for curbside pickup or third-party delivery. They have larger family-sized platters available as well.
